New WiFi Installations

Good quality WiFi doesn’t just happen by accident, it happens because of good planning, design and execution. As EnGenius Certified Partners, we are qualified to provide quality “Enterprise Grade” WiFi transmitters and equipment that’s perfect for your needs. We offer both fully managed and monitored or standalone solutions to suit a variety of business sizes and budgets.

Your commercial managed WiFi can be accessed remotely by our technical team so we can monitor and maintain your network meaning any problems are easily spotted and resolved by our analysts.

When constructing a new WiFi network, we use plans of the building to create computer generated simulations of the proposed WiFi network (known as heat maps). These simulations place WiFi Access Points (transmitters) at optimal points in the building and give us an idea of how the network will behave in real life. From this we can then provide a quote as to costs and time needed to install the network.

Having commissioned the network we then undertake an “active validation survey” using the same building plans used in the design phase. This survey uses special equipment that maps the actual signal strength and performance of the network throughout the building. This can be compared to the original design to make sure that the WiFi is performing as planned.

Testing and Validating your Existing WiFi

The process for testing existing networks is slightly different. For this we use building plans to conduct both a Passive and an Active Survey of the building using specialist equipment. This gives us information and heat maps showing any dead spots or problems on the network and the passive survey shows any possible interference from neighbouring WiFi networks or other electronic devices that might be interfering (such as microwaves or Bluetooth devices). From this we can provide advice on how to correct and improve the network as needed.

Using the latest Airmagnet® software from Netally, we can produce accurate documentation. Both for planning WiFi deployments and validating and testing existing installations. By using this software it is possible to accurately predict the behaviour and response of a given WiFi network before a single access point is deployed, thus ensuring the best coverage possible in any given scenario.
